Russia introduces restrictions on charter flights to China from Fri
MOSCOW, Feb 14 (PRIME) -- Russia introduced restrictions on local airlines' charter flights to China from Friday, the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement late Thursday.
“Russian airlines were notified beforehand about a temporary restriction on charter passenger flights from the Russian to the Chinese territory and back starting from midnight on February 14, 2020. No restriction on airlines from China on the carrying of charter flights is introduced,” the agency said.
The agency said that 1,404 people had exchanged tickets from charter to regular flights, 162 passengers of Siberia Airlines and 66 passengers of Ural Airlines were awaiting tickets for alternative flights or a refund.
